Opera House Gardens

Join the fun and help plant the gardens between the Teller House and the Opera House, and enjoy a great lunch!

Greet-A-Singer

Meet singers at the airport as they arrive for the Summer Festival. Drive our young artists to Central City, and help them to get settled in one of our historic properties.Bonus: Free tickets to dress rehearsals upon request.

Central City Historic Properties

Join this active committee which helps to maintain the 30+ historic buildings that house the cast and crew in Central City. You can paint, sew, repair or even adopt a room or a house to decorate. You can also donate furniture or kitchen goods.Bonus: Free tickets to dress rehearsals upon request.

Abra-kid-opera: A Magical Afternoon

An event geared towards children ages 5-12, combining magic, opera, and theatre games.  The 2010 event was a great success.  Stay tuned for details on the 2011 event.

Girlfriends Day at the Opera

Bring your girlfriends and join us for a wonderful mountain lunch and a performance of Madama Butterfly.  This event tends to sell out very quickly so please mark this date and email your interest to Liz Clarke.

“Take a Child to the Opera” Day

Join other Guild families at special youth performances in the Opera House in Central City. Guild members can take advantage of packages that include a tour of the Gilpin County History Museum, a study guide of the opera, a chance to meet opera performers, lunch, pictures of each child in a costume and a special Central City Opera gift. Volunteers are needed to help on the day of the event.

L'Esprit Holiday Home Tour

Nov. 19-21, 2010
Central City Opera Guild’s 33rd annual holiday home tour (2009) and boutique fundraiser took place on 6th Avenue Parkway in Lowry and included The Gallantry, previously home to officers at Lowry. The weekend in November will be filled with beautifully decorated homes, a boutique, and a Patron Preview Party. Click here for details.

Opera Teasers Previews

Guild members and friends are invited to a delightful evening offering a wonderful dinner, guest opera artists singing selections from the upcoming season, and a speaker giving a synopsis of the operas.  The 2010 Opera Teaser on March 12, 2010 combined all three of the season's operas.  Stay tuned for details on previews for the 2011 season.
