You thought you had to wait until the summer festival for a good cry or a hearty laugh in the theatre, but Central City Opera makes opera mobile! Enjoy the fun anytime, from one singer and a pianist for a small group up to a full 90-minute concert program titled Love Notes. Opera Teasers

Get a jump on the Central City Opera season by attending a preview! Various pre-season events give a taste of upcoming summer operas. The Central City Opera House Association Guild presents the ‘Opera Teasers’ preview series featuring dinner and a casual lecture, and other special events throughout the year leading up to the summer festival. The 2010 Opera Teaser will be held on March 12, 2010.  For details, click here.

During our summer season, a staff member will give a FREE PRE-PERFORMANCE PREVIEW in the Williams Stables (just across Eureka Street from the Opera House), at 1:50 or 7:15 p.m. prior to each performance. Arrive early, as seating is limited.

Music! Words! Opera!

Participants in this week-long workshop for educators learn methods for using opera to enhance core subjects and for creating and performing original operas with students. The workshop, taught by master teachers and opera professionals, is FREE to Colorado educators.  Educators from all disciplines are encouraged to participate, especially teaching partners. Graduate or continuing education credits are available from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  Learn more
