Regional Touring

The Rocky Mountain region enjoys the benefits of a vibrant population; diverse, educated and expanding rapidly. Central City Opera recognizes its historic role as an arts and cultural resource and is unique in bringing its award-winning touring programs to the entire region, including rural and remote locations. Our touring programs center on family entertainment, offering educational programs for children and community programs for families.

The Central City Opera Ensemble is a group of seventeen singers and instrumentalists who present year-round touring programs. Artists from the Bonfils-Stanton Artist Training Program and from the University of Colorado Opera Studies also join forces once a year for an Opera Rocks the Rockies tour.  [This video on the CU Opera Program includes discussion about our joint tour, at approximately 3:45 into the video.]

“Touring is one way we can give back to the many people who support our artistic and historic preservation efforts, and bring arts experiences to students throughout the region.”
Central City Opera’s Director of Education and Community Programs, Deborah Morrow
