Central City Opera’s Ensemble Artists are featured in great scenes from the best that opera and musical theatre have to offer, including The Daughter of the Regiment, La Bohème, Rigoletto, Faust, Oklahoma!, Sweeney Todd and other favorites. Thirteen of the region’s best classical vocal artists plus three amazing pianists perform duets, trios and ensembles which are featured in Central City Opera Education and Community Programs reaching over 60,000 students, families and adults throughout Colorado and Wyoming each year.
The Ensemble Artists are professional singers and instrumentalists contracted by Central City Opera to present school programs, concerts, workshops and lectures – a total of nearly 200 events every year. These artists are generously donating their time for this concert in order to raise awareness and funding for presenting Education and Community programs. Central City Opera receives requests for programs from schools that are unable to cover even the modest fees that are requested. No school request is ever denied, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and supporters of these programs.
