Director's Notes for The Breasts of Tiresias - Ken Cazan
Ken Cazan, Director
The main thrust of the one-acts [Gianni Schicchi, The Seven Deadly Sins and The Breasts of Tiresias] is the search for home and one’s place in a family without losing self-identity. The post WWII stylistic setting, combined with Dadaist art, sets the stage for the evening. The concepts of survival andprocreation (i.e. rebuilding a society that has been ravaged by war) become tantamount.
